Thomas Turner, CPA

Tom is the founder of Turner, Vedrenne & Howard, a full-service CPA firm, and the co-founder of Turner & Vedrenne Financial Services. A native Texan and graduate of the University of North Texas, Tom began his professional journey at Ernst & Young. He later served as the controller for a large Texas-based automobile dealership holding company before founding Turner, Vedrenne & Howard in 1983.

Recognizing the importance of coordinating financial planning with tax planning, Tom affiliated with 1st Global, now known as Avantax. Since integrating financial services into his tax practice, he has provided seamless, tax-smart financial planning for his clients.

Just as Tom has helped countless clients prepare for retirement, he turned to True North as part of his own retirement plan. In 2023, he began the search for a successor for the financial services portion of his practice. Tom’s desire for a client-first, holistic wealth management firm led him to select True North Private Wealth Partners to fill that role. Tom and his financial planning clients joined the True North family in January 2024. Tom remains an active and integral part of the team.
